PRIMOZ ROGLIC, THE KING OF SUPERGA
Primož Roglič won the oldest classic, soloing to the finish in the shadow of the Basilica of Superga. The Slovenian, winner of the Vuelta a España and, more recently, of the Giro dell’Emilia, beat Adam Yates to the line – the two had escaped together along the finishing climb. Joao Almeida outdid Tadej Pogacar and rounded out the podium.
