Speaking seconds after the stage finish, the winner of the 105th Milano-Torino presented by Crédit Agricole Alberto Bettiol said: “It’s a nice victory. I’m very proud to win in Italy. Milano-Torino is one of the most iconic races in the world. I tried with 30km to go because I wanted to test my legs after Tirreno-Adriatico and before Milan-Sanremo. I didn’t expect to go so fast with a bunch of riders behind. It was very tough actually. I suffered a lot. It’s important for the team to win. I tried my best and it worked”.
